OCC Lip Tar: Memento

Swatches & Review
I have been wanting to try OCC Lip Tars for a while and after resisting the beauty.com neutral set for so long, I decided to just get it so I can stop thinking about it! After getting it, the first one I tried was Memento. Memento looked like it would be a nice shade of pink because it does not seem too light, and it does not seem too dark. I also decided to try it because when I bought it, Memento was the only one that was leaking. Since I had to clean it up anyway, might as well give it a try, right?
Memento is a nice neutral-pink color. Like a lot of people has mentioned before, just a little goes a long way. Since I heard they were incredibly pigmented, I kept using it in small amounts so it would avoid bleeding. I used a brush and even after washing the brush, it definitely stained it!
I thought that this color would wash out my skin, which is why I normally avoid pinks, but I think this does not really wash it out. Although it seems kind of glossy, it is actually semi-matte after it sets. If you like your lip colors glossy, you should definitely put a clear gloss over it.Overall, I like this color. I think one tube is going to last me a while. Memento wore about 6 hours on me with minimal fading even with eating and drinking.I was surprised at the staying power! There is a minty scent to it, but I do not mind it much because I like minty-lip products. The thing that I did not like about it was the leaking issue, and it does get drying after a while, so putting on some lip balm from time to time helps. What do you think about Lip Tars? Tried them? Like them? :)

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain: Adore

Swatches & Review
I have previously reviewed Honey and Precious, which was the two I only wanted when they first came out. After a while of using them, I decided to buy another one. This past week, CVS had them on sale for $6.49 with $4 ECB for your next purchase. I went to a few CVS stores and 8 out of 10 stores were completely wiped out of them! One of them only had colors I already had, and another one only had Adore left. Since I have been more comfortable with wearing red on my lips lately, I decided to pick it up.
Adore is like a brown-red to me. It is not like a deep full on red. It has some gold shimmer in it, but it is not too noticeable. Although the swatch on my arm for it does not seem too pigmented, it is definitely more pigmented on the lips. I did not have to go over it multiple times for the color to show up.
I like this shade a lot more than I thought I would. Unlike Precious and Honey, the wear of the color still stayed the same after a some time, while Precious and Honey both turned into a bright colored pink. I don't mind Honey, but Precious was just disappointing for me. I was also a bit hesitant to buy this since I already have Candy Apple from Revlon's Lip Butter line, but this is definitely a lot darker than Candy Apple. What are your thoughts on Adore?

theBalm Schwing Liquid Liner

Swatches & Review
I recently won theBalm's Schwing Liquid Liner from their daily giveaway. Their giveaway is basically you leaving a comment on their wall on Facebook or a tweet on Twitter with an item you want and they randomly choose one person per day at 5:00PM PST. I was picked to be one of the winners two weeks ago and the item I asked for was their Schwing Black Liquid Liner.
theBalm's Schwing liner comes with a a soft felt-tip applicator. It is not a thick felt-tip so it is easy to get a thin line on your eyes, if you want it thin. It dries very quickly and matte. It is a nice eyeliner, but it is not waterproof. I decided to compare this with Urban Decay's 24/7 liquid eyeliner.
Left is UD. Right is theBalm. As you can see, Urban Decay's liquid liner dries into a semi-glossy finish, while Schwing dries into a matte finish.
After running it through water: As you can see, theBalm's Schwing liner is starting to bleed out and Urban Decay's 24/7 liner is still in its place.
I swiped both of them with my finger while it was wet. Schwing was basically rubbing off while the 24/7 is still staying in its place.
After washing it with soap and rubbing it: Schwing is basically washed off, and some of 24/7 was chipping off, but still enough of it stayed around.

So for the comparison, it is clear that Urban Decay's staying power is stronger. However, Urban Decay labeled theirs waterproof, which makes sense that it would stay around and theBalm's did not label theirs waterproof. I like the matte finish of Schwing, but since I have very watery eyes, and my eyes get watery throughout the day, I think Schwing would not last long on me. This is my second Urban Decay liner because the first one I had, it stung my eyes when I had it on. Maybe the first one I had was a bad batch because the second one I got a tried did not burn my eyes like the first one I got. I would recommend theBalm's Schwing liner for someone who does not have watery eyes. Both of these liquid liners contain 1.7mL of product. theBalm's Schwing liner retails for $17 and Urban Decay's 24/7 liner retails for $19. What do you think of Schwing? Own it? Like it? Let me know! :)

China Glaze; Flirty Tankini

Swatches & Review
Flirty Tankini is from China Glaze's Summer 2012 Neon's collection. I have purchased this around the beginning of summer, but I never had to chance to try it and since it is almost the end of summer, I decided to try it on. Flirty Tankini is a soft shimmery pink-coral. It kind of reminds me of Patrick Star, just a bit.
The application for Flirty Tankini was good. It was kind of thick, but easy to work with. It only required one coat, but I used two for the swatches. For the accent, I used Orly's Glowstick, which is from their summer collection. Glowstick is a a lot brighter in person, I love it! Since they are both neons, they both dried to a semi-matte finish. It was not a full-on matte finish, but it was not very glossy either.
Overall, I like how easy it was to apply Flirty Tankini and I like the color, but Flirty Tankini stained! Even though I used two coats of base coat and waited until it was completely dry, Flirty Tankini stained my nails into a bright pink, which was very unflattering. Orly's Glowstick did not stain my nails at all, which was surprising since it was a yellow, I kind of expected it to stain. Glowstick required four coats for me because it was on the sheer side, but taking it off was easier than Flirty Tankini was as well. Although I like Flirty Tankini, I do not like the staining, which may keep me from wearing it as much. I kind of wish I used Glowstick for the rest of my fingers and Flirty Tankini as an accent, but now, I know that I should probably use another color under Firty Tankini to try to prevent it from staining.

Zoya Designer Collection

Swatches & Review
Zoya's Designer Collection is the last part of their sub-collection for fall. Unlike the other two, which consisted of jelly and metallic finishes, this set contains six shades with a cream finish. These colors are comparable to the Diva collection, but it is more like a cream version of them. Here are the swatches of the colors from the Designer collection:
Rekha is described by Zoya as a blood red cream, which it basically is. Compared to the pictures, it is a bit darker in person. It reminds me of vampires and blood-sucking things.. mosquitos? lol. So I guess it is perfect for fall to use for Halloween since Halloween is in fall! I like this more than Elisa, maybe because it looks better on me. I only used one coat for this.
Toni is a dark burgundy. I used two coats for this, but you could get away with one coat if you apply a thick enough first coat.
Monica is a dark purple, kind of like an eggplant purple. I used two coats of this for the swatches.
Natty is a soft-navy blue. It is navy, but it does not look like the darker blue which makes it a navy. It gives a much more softer navy blue look and I like it! Unlike the other shades, this was kind of thick, but I think it was because when I received it, the top was not fully closed and some leaked, which is why it may be thicker than the others. I used two coats for this.
Evvie is a pine tree green. At times, it looks like there may be a subtle hint of grey to it, although most of the time, it just looks like a dark green, like pine trees!
Noot is a dusty grey-green. It kind of reminds me of Essie's Going Incognito, but a bit darker.

Overall, I do not think this collection is bad at all. Cream finishes are one of my favorite finishes as well, which is probably why I like it. Unlike other cream finish nail polishes I have tried, I did not feel like these were hard to apply. The formula on these were smooth & consistent. Besides Rekha, I used two coats for the rest of the collection. A lot of these probably would not need more than that. This was also the first time where I felt like some Zoya's dried faster on me. Maybe since it required less coats, the drying time was faster? These dry glossier than the Diva collection, but less glossy than the Gloss collection.

These are available for purchase on Zoya.com now, and they retail for $8 per 0.5oz bottle.
